Charles Strouse  is an American composer and lyricist best known for writing the music in the musical Annie.


Charles Strouse was born on June 7, 1928 in New York City, New York, USA. He is known for his work on Annie (1982), Shrek 2 (2004) and All Dogs Go to Heaven (1989). He has been married to Barbara Siman since 1962. They have four children.[1]
